Hi,
I have an iMac (27" / late 2012 / bought one year ago / 2.9 GHz) and have just updated to OS X Yosemite (10.10.1) a few days ago. I use a bluetooth Logitech mouse / trackpad / & keyboard.
Since that OS upgrade (I was on Mavericks before) I am having problems with the screen scrolling to the left on it's own after I zoom into a page.
When I initially click onto a web page it all looks ok. But when I use the zoom function (either from the desktop 'command' & '+' /or/ 'view tab' --> 'zoom in' /or/ zooming in using the trackpad) the screen zoom in, but straight away the whole page shifts to the left on it's own accord. After that happens I am unable to pull any of that 'missing left part of the screen' back to the right (either by clicking and dragging with my mouse, trackpad, or keyboard keys). About 10-15% of the screen remains hidden out of the page on the left, making it impossible for me to read the page (see image 1 below).
In addition, when a page has a left-right scroll option, as soon as I hover my mouse over that (and without actually clicking anything) that scroll part instantly zooms to the left, not giving me time to pause it, or be able to click on anything within that as it zooms so fast.
A good example is when I go into iTunes (see image 2 below). Not only do those five areas that I've circled zoom really fast to the left as soon as my mouse cursor goes over any of them (making me unable to select any of the contents, as it zooms so fast to the left), but even when I move the mouse over the volume control (at the top left) and again without me clicking anything on the mouse or trackpad the volume starts shifting to the left on it's own.
When I'm on a screen page (see image 3 below) that has anything that I want to bring in closer (this YouTube box in this example), as soon as I zoom in (see image 4 below) the whole box has shifted on it's own to the left, making it impossible for me to view it. Again once anything has shifted to the left I am unable to then pull it back to the right.
I rang up Apple to see if they could help me resolve it over the phone. They suggested that I reinstall Yosemite, which I did, but the problem still remains after the reinstallation.
I'm a bit simple when it comes to understanding computers so any help in simple terminology would be really appreciated.
Thank you... ^^
