iMac fire vault

The wife and I are in the processing of migrating from rMBPs to iMacs. We ran fire vault on the rMBP SSDs, as much as anything to help with the case of have the laptops stolen.

Just curious if any of the other iMac owners are running firevault on their boot drive.

I guess you mean "FileVault"

If you are comfortable with that, and already use FileVault, there's no reason not to continue using that on your new iMacs. FileVault will continue to give you that extra layer of security, which is the reason you would be using FileVault in the first place.
