I am doing animation in Affects Effects CS 5. I can choose between two machines:
a 2009 iMac 24" at 2.96 GHZ with a discreet graphics card and 8 GB of RAM
or...
a 2010 iMac 21.5" at 3.06 GHZ with integrated graphics upgraded to 12 GB RAM
I have a feeling the older machine with the discreet graphics card would run After Effects faster. The older machine also has 6 MB of L2 cache, the newer 3 MB. Which one would you folks recommend?
(I'm currently using the newer machine and it feels sluggish...)
