iMac for college

Currently I have the 2011 iMac and I'm heading off to college soon. I want to know if you guys think I can just use this in college while I wait for the MacBook pros to be updated. I'm also taking my iPad 3 for textbook use.

Should be fine - you can use the iPad for note taking in class.

I agree with Bear, a 2011 iMac along with an iPad 3 for note taking in class is plenty enough.

Unless you have to run some specific software at school but I don't think that's going to be a problem.
