iMac forgets mouse/Wi-Fi settings

imac 3.1 i5..
I boot on a Lacie SSD via thunderbolt. sometimes but not always the wifi connection does not automatically turn on.. same w/my BT mouse. I do have a version of OS (LION) on the imac HD but have set preferences and still it forgets them on the SSD boot drive..

what plist can I delete to clear this issue? or is it something else? THX.
