So i just got my computer back from being serviced by the geek squad folks (HDD was failing, girlfriend had bought the black tie protection). They replaced the hard drive and sent it back. I brought it home, reinstalled Snow Leopard from my OS X install disc, all was well. I began a pretty large data transfer from my external HDD to the internal (~40gb, not ENORMOUS) and went out with some friends. Came back to find my computer frozen. No movement at all, not even a beach ball. I hard reset by holding down the power button and now the computer will not boot at all. I get a start up chime, grey screen WITH NO APPLE LOGO, and that's it. I've tried all the key command startups that i know, but am using the Apple Bluetooth Keyboard and Mouse, not sure how that affects it. Any thoughts? Anyone run into this issue before. I found tons of "freezing on the apple logo" ones but not one like this. Also, FWIW, once when i was using Cmd+Optn+P+R it rebooted just after pressing them, another time when i was trying that, the cd drive spun up and i got to an Apple logo where it froze again. Otherwise nothing... :(
