Hey i was looking on Craigslist and i found a 333Mhz iMac G3 for $75.00 or best offer. It has 384MB RAM Which i would upgrade to 512 Mb with a 6GB Hard Drive which i would upgrade to 80-120 GB it comes with a fresh install of tiger or leopord (which i know would not work,so i choose tiger) it comes with Keyboard mouse power cord.No software/installation cds will be provided, only installation of new OS.The ad says that it has 2 firewire ports but the trey loader did not have those (that must have been a upgrade) it is missing the port door on the side but i would not care. It is blue berry in color and looks in good condition. So what do you all think? SHOULD I BUY THIS Mac

That is way overpriced, and not clear on what it is. No Trayloading iMac G3 could possibly have firewire, not even with an upgrade.

You can find those things for 30 bucks with better specs.

I've seen a few on used Mac websites for the same price with a 450MHz G3 and a slot loading DVD drive. That 333MHz is not a good deal, considering that it doesn't have Firewire and it uses an older chipset than the later G3 iMac's do. Check out this page: http://lowendmac.com/deals/best-imac-g3-prices.html to see what the best deals for the G3 iMac's are. RAM for those machines cheap, you could probably max it out to 1GB for $50 (the older iMac's have a limit of 512MB, where as the slot loading models are 1GB).
