I was just wondering if I could use a 500Mhz Indigo iMac G3 (with 120GB HDD internal and a 500GB Firewire 400 external drive) as a media server for iTunes. Just keeping all my media on there and possibly playing it. The iMac is currently running Mac OS X 10.3 Panther, and would be streaming to a G4 and an intel Mac. (G4 - 10.3, intel - 10.5.7). Im guessing I will need two versions of the library (one for version 7 and one for version 8). Need help setting this up, do I just drag the folders from both versions of iTunes and keep them on the external drive, and will the Firewire drive be fast enough??
