Hi guys

Been awhile since I posted, this time about one of my iMacs. I have a Bondi blue iMac G3 and took it out to see how it's functioning (great btw). Well looking at its apple system profiler in OS 9.2 I see it has a 333mhz processor. I looked it up in the great app Mactracker and there is no mention of a 333mhz BB iMac G3. Then to complete the search I looked it up on that chipmunk.nl website and it confirms its a Bondi blue made in 1999 week 35 September. Is this a rare model with its bumped up CPU? Do I have something special here or am I overthinking it.

Either it's overclocked (this can be done with a simple jumper modification), or the previous owner swapped CPUs between the Bondi and a Rev. D (tray-loader) Fruit iMac, which had 333MHz stock.

I would have tended to agree with you but the chipmunk search shows it started life as a 333MHZ Bondi Blue

I seriously doubt there was ever a Bondi produced at that speed. Pretty sure that beginning with the Fruit Rev C. line, which ran at 266MHz, Bondi iMacs weren't being made any more. I've seen one guy claim he had a 333MHz Bondi, but it was a Blueberry. Colours are very close, and I've seen plenty of people mix them up. Hell, I used to think the Blueberry iBooks were Bondi.

Does yours have the front infrared sensor next to the left speaker?

Well Chipmunk recognizes it as a Bondi Blue if you look at the pic I uploaded. Here is a pic of the machine

The pics settle it for me: It's a Revision D Blueberry. The colour in my profile pick is Bondi. If you have sensitive enough eyes (and a monitor with good colour depth), you can see it's lighter. Bondi is just a touch darker, and it's best seen in person. Also, all Bondi iMacs had an IR sensor. This one doesn't, either.
This video is also pretty good:

Odd that it registered as a Bondi blue. Thanks for the help
