Indeed there was. It was called "charcoal" and was usually the high-end iMac in the lineup.

Really old thread but i have an old G3 as well that I may be willing to sell! Haven't looked at it in years as it was my grandmothers but i believe it is graphite.

The grey ones were *NEVER* called charcoal. It was always graphite, or the iMac DV SE as they were referred to.
