I have a problem. I need to update the firmware of an iMac G3, but I don't know if it's possible to do it since the display is dead. Anyone know how to do this without a screen?

If it's a 400mhz or faster, you could attach an external monitor. There's a VGA port on the back. It might be covered by a plastic grill, but it's easy enough to remove.
