Hi I have a iMac G3 and I'm thinking the flyback or analog board is bad.

It rarely boots up to the desktop, most of the time it turns on, startup sound and then a crackling or popping sound.

Is there a way to bypass the internal CRT and only use a external CRT? Even with an external CRT connected it is still experiencing these problems.
