The previous post about the G5 made me think of this. My Imac G3/400MHz Tangerine sits on my dresser as a music jukebox. Ive connected it to my macbook via firewire before to transfer my music library before i put an SSD inside it.
Now im wondering if Using the wirewire i can create a Third partition on the mac and hold my time machine backups on it. However i have no clue how time machine works. DOes the backup drive have to be the same size or equal to the one in my macbook?
