Recently I bought a used iMac G3 to restore and give away to a friend. I've noticed it does not have the iMac writing on the front for some reason. Does anyone know why this would be? I have no doubts it's a genuine unit, but I can't find any image of a G3 without the logo like this one.

I think that's a very logical explanation. I think it has been a third party refurbished unit based on some non-Apple warranty void stickers so they might have cleaned the logo off at some point. Oh well, it still looks nice I guess and it was quite cheap.
