Hello there, long time lurker, first time joiner!
I own 2 iMac G3s, a Snow DV SE and an Indigo slot loader. However as of late, the Snow has had an issue with it's screen.
Basically the problem is that sometimes it's degausser actually introduces colour blotches, which take a restart or two to get rid of, ie. like it's in "reverse". I jokingly call it "disco mode" since the screen ends having green/purple blothes around the edges. I have no other issues with the screen, no weird flickering and can leave it on for hours without issue.
This usually happens randomly, not very often but usually once every 2-3 weeks. I can usually tell it'll happen since the "thud" of the degausser sounds quite strong, or sounds like it triggered twice. The other times when it works fine, it sounds unusually quiet, which is strange since my Indigo makes a "thud" every time and it's completely fine.
I have looked up on this but I have found very little in regards to this issue. I however speculate a possible early sign the PAV is going, which if true is not a good sign.
