i just got an imac g3? possibly (all in-one crt monitor comp) and when i power it on the screens starts up but the computer does nothing, it makes no sound, no drives no anything.

i have the disks for my ibook and my other apple cd-dvds i can try but can anyone give me some inside help on why it wont load anything?

thanks.

Problems with G3 iMacs are pretty common now. My old G3 started freezing and randomly turning off while the power button would flicker and beep/hum/groan. Now when I try to turn it on, the light blinks once and it's gone. :(

yeah little outdated now hahah.

the cd spins when i put it in there but im getting no video.

If you have one of the later models with the VGA output on the back (which may be behind a removable cover), try plugging it into an external display and see if you can get anything then.
