After the crt make a lot of click soung and turning of and one extremely rapidly my imac g3 stop working can you help me?

from what i remember (i gave mine away in 2009 after 10 years) the battery needs to be in that slot
is the hard drive the original one?
i know you are using this a monitor, but all the parts need to work properly to well work!

it was working without the battery

Mine went CACACACACACACA when the hard drive failed. Try that first. Then the little battery. Then the caps.

If that's an old G3 (with the tray-loading CD), then you should fix the analog video board (most likely the already-mentioned flyback transformer) or the power supply is shot.
If a newer G3 (slot-loading CD drive), then most likely the same fault, but the flyback transformer is on the Power-analog-video board.

I agree that it's probably the flyback/PAV board, but putting the battery in there is worth a shot. Some machines really want them while others are alright without it. You never know.

The crt before this problem was making strange click noise and the imac was turning off randomly
