Ok, so I want/must get the right type of RAM memory for my iMac G4 700Mhz

Which one I have to get? Any link? I know about RAM but I just don't want to get the wrong type and waste my money.

BTW I got all of my previous ibook/iMac RAM memory sticks from very old HP/IBM laptops and Xerox printers, so it's my first time buying a RAM memory for a mac :)

You want one stick of 512MB low density PC-133 laptop sized and one stick of 512MB low density PC-133 desktop sized, for a total of 1GB.

Depends on if you are getting RAM for the inner or outer socket.

Both use PC133 SDRAM, outer uses SO-DIMMs, inner DIMMs. Try the Crucial memory finder.

This is the exact SODIMM RAM from Crucial for your machine.

Looks like this is the DIMM one you want.

Thanks! Thanks!

So, I cannot use a 1GB memory stick for the outer socket?

You can try, but you'd need to manufacture one first ;)
1GB PC 133 SODIMM is like a Powerbook G5.

Will this work?

or this one?

Also, I forgot I had an old Xerox printer in my storage room. It had a 256 MB RAM so I took it out and put it on the iMac G4 and it is working properly once again. It even passed the RAM Test! Man I love Xerox printers!
