Hey Folks--
Wondered if y'all might throw in your opinions and $0.02 about some bad behavior I'm getting out of the LCD panel on a 20" iMac G4. Basically, it seems like the "opposite" of an inverter failure:
Any thoughts? Does this sounds like a cable problem or the panel itself? Unfortunately, I do not have another similar machine to test with.
Thanks for any tips!
Fred
Wondered if y'all might throw in your opinions and $0.02 about some bad behavior I'm getting out of the LCD panel on a 20" iMac G4. Basically, it seems like the "opposite" of an inverter failure:
- Rather than the picture being there w/ no backlighting, there's backlighting present w/ no picture.
- Video out works just fine.
- I replaced the inverter anyway, and it made no difference.
- I have jiggered the TMDS connector on both ends, and do not see any changes when I do so.
Any thoughts? Does this sounds like a cable problem or the panel itself? Unfortunately, I do not have another similar machine to test with.
Thanks for any tips!
