iMac G4 (700Mhz)| 512MB SDR RAM

Ok guys, I bought a RAM memory for this iMac G4 (700Mhz):

So, when I put it, the iMac made a weird noise and then 3 beeps. The seller claims it works and I saw the feedback of previous buyers and all were like "works as expected" so I'm wondering, is it my iMac or this RAM just blows?

Did you replace both of the ram sticks or just one? Are sure sure it's low density ram?

That's why I think. Luckily I got a refund for that. Although I didn't want a refund, I wanted the RAM. It looks like I will have to look for the DIMM one instead.

How can I make sure of that? Both. One I had laying around in a old Celeron pc and the one I ordered. Right now it has 384 (128 inside, 256 outside)

Also I found out the problem with the DVD RAM. It was one of the rubber strings that was tangled and now it is broken. I got the tray out but it doesn't work anymore, which is strange since Mac reports it as 'working'
