First of all, I might be getting a G4 for a good price soon and I was wondering how good it is overall. Should I get a G5 or something different? Second, how will the G4 react with Leopard? Thanks for all your help.

The G4 should run Leopard just fine. The spiffy animations may be a bit choppy, but that's all dependent upon your video card. A G5 might run it a bit faster, as you might expect, but for your basic needs it will run great! :)

The iMac G4 is still a very useful machine, especially the later models. The 1.25ghz models should run Leopard particularly well considering their GeForce FX 5200 video chip fully supports Core Image.
