I have an iMac G4 with Leopard, and there seems to be a glitch with my System Preferences. I can lock and password protect all of the panes available as I would normally.

I have however discovered an issue. These locks seem to unlock themselves after powering back on. I'm not sure if the same happens upon logging back in, as I never log out to start with.

Any solutions for this? Better yet, am I the only one who experiences this?

Go into the Security preference pane, click the General tab, and check "Require password to unlock each System Preferences pane".

That's the problem. It is checked. I can relock it upon starting, go to unlock it, and it will require my password. Why they unlock themselves to begin with, I don't know.
