Has anyone bothered to try the 900MHz setting? I heard you could do 1GHz but that has a very high chance of NOT working. I got a 700MHz iMac G4 and I cannot find much information about testing overclocks.

I have the same model, and this is kind of interesting to think about doing.

Let me know if you end up trying it.

So the 700 got to 900 but it was unstable as f###. Went down one level to 800MHz and it's stable now.
I say you may not be able to call this an achievement, but late PPC-era Apple capitalism has been avoided once again. You can get a 700MHz iMac G4 to 800MHz no problem... and unfortunately that's as high as you can ever go.

Now I am curious if someone will swap out the 7451 with a 7455B for me... maybe even find a way to add L3 cache.
