I recently got a iMac G4 and want to set it up as a back up school computer, so I was wondering what are some things that I can download to get this working at the best it can, I know how old it is, but it goes to the school site and again I am only trying to use it as a back up. Thanks! :apple:

which one is it?
you can get it using 3gbs of ram and using a 600gbHD
there is a lot of threads on getting into an intel machine but i am not gonna get into that...
It Can run tiger i believe.
It would be a great (and nice looking) word processor

Those are old but still good computers. Check eBay or around for a retail Tiger disc. That should speed it up and bring it into a more modern world. Other good things include maxing out its ram at 2Gb or only 1.XX if you don't feel like opening it up.
