I can buy a G5 iMac 1.6GHz/512/80gb for $130, its in good running condition (still used daily) with no leaky caps or anything. Comes with restore discs (Panther I believe). I will more than likely play with it for a bit and then load it with more RAM and resell it.

Should I? Is that a good price?

The problem would be finding a customer. G5 iMacs are, of course, known to eat power capacitors so buyers will be wary. Panther is poorly supported now, particularly for Internet use.

The 1.6 GHz isnt very wanted, as is the 17". If you can find yourself a copy of leopard for cheap and load up the ram and HD for cheap yeah go for it, otherwise i would say leave it
