iMac G5 2 GHz (non-intel) w/ Manta TR1 and Front Row

I have a iMac G5, 2.0 GHz (the non intel version) I am currently running 10.5.5.

I would like to run Front Row.

First off the version I have did not come with an IR sensor out of box. I am planing on getting a Manta TR1 and take use of my Harmony 550 remote.

I love the setup for Front Row but was wondering if it was able to be installed and used with the Manta IR receiver.

Well any G5 iMac is not an Intel iMac but that's irrelevant so I'll move on.

If you have Leopard installed on your machine and the software that comes with the remote you are getting allows you to set specific key commands to the press of a button then it will work fine.

You may need to train the remote to do that but if everything else works then you're all set.

You just need to check if that IR receiver is Mac-compatible and if it will work with the universal remote.
