Hello everyone,
So at my work we have a slew of different mac computers, the oldest one being a 2005 iMac G5 3rd gen. So my problem is very strange, on Monday, it was running like a dream. No signs of anything bad, it wasn't running slow or anything... no worries. So on Tuesday morning I turn it on and now I cannot complete a single task on it. It starts up, all my docs/folders on the desktop show up, my apps toolbar loads, but then when I click on ANYTHING, I just get a spinning beach ball for 5-10 minutes then nothing happens.
I'm working on locating the original startup disk, which has apparently been misplaced somewhere, because it isn't in my giant box of software. Has anyone ever run into this problem? I'm starting to think that the HD just went bad, but I'm really hopeful that it didn't. Thanks!
