I've got a G5 ALS iMac 17 inch that boots to up. The display only shows 3 inches of the right side of the desktop. The rest is black or grey bands with colored vertical lines randomly about. Took it to he genius bar and they said we don't fix those anymore.. I haven't hooked it up to another monitor as I need an adapter.

iMac G5 ALS only displays right side only

It could be a graphics card problem or broken display but most likely a graphics issue since G5s are known for those issues.
