I borrowed my friends 1.25 Powerbook and played around with GB. After I had added maybe 6 or 7 tracks, the PB started to get slower. How many tracks will an iMac G5 1.8 20" with 1.25 Gig Ram be able to handle? First hand experience would be nice to know. Thanks.

I've used more than 10 tracks on my powerbok (1.33) and it really depends on how much effects you are using. Tracks witout any realtime effects do use much less CPU power.

I have never used my iMac with GB yet, but it has much more CPU power than the powerbooks and it also have a much faster HD, so the iMac will leave the powerbooks behind in the dust in GB.
