IMac G5, how do i add another screen, on mac os x 10.5.8

i have used a mac all my life, but i can't find out how to do this, I know that there is software for tiger but i use 10.5.8 so that software would not work, i need to find out how to add another screen, please help

Use the dongle, attach screen. If it doesn't show up, go to Display Preferences and "detect displays". That should be all. I am not aware of a limitation preventing extended desktops on the iMac G5, only on the iMac G4, but I could be wrong.

This is a tad bit old school.

I never tested in Leopard if it removed the mirroring only limitation on the iMac G5 I had around.
