Ok my mom unplugs her computer, gives it to me, and when I hook it up all it does is go to a grey screen that shows the little mac smiley face and a question mark. I figured out how to get past that by holding the option key while starting but when it reads the instillation disk and starts to install it the comp says that it is the wrong disk. Im a little computer smart but I dont how to do anything technical.
Oh and there was already disk two for the setup stuck inside the computer I got it out and looked at it and the two my friend gave me for the g5. The only difference is the one that originally came with the comp doesnt say Imac g5 but it has everything else. PLEASE HELP ME!!!!!!!!!!

If you can find or buy a retail copy of Tiger or Leopard, it should install OK. You might run into problems if you try to use a disk that ships with a new Mac, if you try to install on a different Mac
