I recently acquired a non-functional iMac G5 that may remain that way.

If I cannot get it working again, I'd like to be able to salvage its monitor.

Is this possible? How about with a limited toolset? I'm a student and can't afford a bunch of fancy gizmos to fix a fancy gizmo right now.

The internal connector would make it just about useless. However, I think you could do it with just a screw driver.
