The advertised maximum RAM for an iMac G5 is 2GB. But I'm curious, at the time the iMac G5 was released, 2GB sticks didn't really exist on the mass market. Now that they do, I'm wondering - will the iMac be able to recognize a 2GB stick, taking the max RAM up to 4GB?

Someone has to have tried this. Help!

Rev. B iMac G5 17" 2GHz 160GB 1GB Mighty Mouse
Rev. C PowerBook G4 12" 1.33GHz 60GB 768MB AE SD
Rev. A iMac G3 233Mhz 4GB 96MB :)

Erm, no, the iMac is only able to take 2GB of 2x1GB sticks and I doubt very much that even one of those 2GB sticks would work at all, it's a bit expensive to try as an experiment, I personally would adhere to Apples specs.
