iMac G5 screen issue

I turned on my iMac G5 yesterday and something is wrong with the screen. It's got a pinkish tint to it and a slight elongated checkerboard pattern to it. Anybody have any idea what the problem could be? I have an appointment to take it in to an Apple Store tomorrow, but just wanted to see if anybody had any ideas here? If anybody knows what the problem is, what is it going to cost me to have it fixed?
