I had to recently re-format my iMac due to my hard drive having "no more space" :(

I recently bought a few external hard drives (1 for my time machine and 1 for personal use)

I copied some files on the external hard drive (a few hundred gigs of music and photos combined) and deleted it off my iMac and did a Secure Empty Trash.

I then uploaded a few more pics I had taken into the iMac hard drive and told me that I had no more space for some odd reason. I clicked "Get Info" for the iMac Hard Disk and it literally said "Zero KB"

After Re-formatting I used the Time Machine to restore my files and applications, but it gave me an error saying that I had no "access" to some of the applications...FML!!

Please advise for future reference.

Thanks guys/gals
