Ok so I have an iMac. I have several old PCs that pretty much became useless within 6 months and 1 PC laptop. I would like to remove the hard drives from these and use them for backups and other data with my Mac.
So far I am in the early stages of which to buy. With lack of knowledge I am looking at the Thermaltake Dual bay docking station. I have a few questions.

1. Is that a good brand or is there better? I prefer it have at least dual capabilities. Are there any with card readers as well?
2. Does Hot swap capabilities mean I can use the hard drives like SD cards? so could I just remove and replace on a whim as needed?
3. Would it be possible to use my full windows 7 install disc and install windows onto one of them as if it was just built in?
I thank any and all who can offer some insight into this. I currently am using a WD my book 1TB for time machine and its full. I delete old as needed but having the use of those extra drives would be nice. Also, if I can install and run windows from one of them I could remove Windows from the Mac.

Thank you.
Billy
