Hi all, I am not sure if anyone has the same problem as I do..
so basically I was trying to make my imac my 2nd monitor of my mbp. I am using a bluetooth keyboard with my imac and when my imac went to target display mode, I was not able to connect the keyboard with my mbp as the keyboard is still connected to the imac. How do you guys handle this situation?

You could turn off Blutooth on the iMac before starting TDM. Someone else may have a more elegant solution.

Edit: Of course that would make it rather difficult to get INTO target display mode :p so maybe not the best idea!

Power-cycle the keyboard and/or initiate pairing mode with the keyboard. (after the iMac has booted)

yea.. the problem is that my keyboard wont disconnect with my imac when it is in target display mode. but i need it to be paired with imac in order to get it into target display mode. No one has similar experience?
