Hi all,

My faithful Imac appears to have given up. Yesterday I tried to boot but it would go on, I thought I heard a little sound but that went away after the 4th try. I have tried a different power cord, checkt the sockets everything works. Just the Imac itself that doesn't budge. Any routine things I should check. Never opened it up before.

Thanks in advance for any help :)

Ive opened it up to check on the diagnostic lights, as none of them light up on AC power I can assume the power supply is broke, however the best offer for a replacement part i can find costs me 119 bucks, I feel its total loss...

If no lights are on and you have confirmed power at the wall then it sounds just like the powersupply. 115.00 is a cheap fix. I paid 150.00 for mine.
