Hi, I have read of swapping the 17" panel of iMac using an item that basically change the content of the EEPROM of the panel making it disguised for another one.

So, here is the question! I have a couple of panels from iMac G5 20", labeled LM201W01(ST)(B2). My iMac Intel 20" (A1207) uses a panel with exactly the same characteristics (but different name)! So probably it would be interchangeable if the content of the Extended Display Identification Data (EDID) EEPROM is copied from G5 panel to intel panel.

IN SHORT:
Could anyone having an Intel iMac 20" from 2006 give me the reading of his own EDID?
It is simple, just open the terminal and execute:

> ioreg -lw0 | grep EDID

And post here the result.

And I'll make you know if it worked!

Thanks in advance!
