Hi,

I removed my internal DVD to put an SSD in this place.

I purchased an external enclosure (usb) and I put the internal DVD on it.

It works and I can read DVDS (didn't tried to write any, but it should works).

It recognizes and tell me that it's an original apple DVD, but the problem is that I cant boot from this DVD (or any other ways, like USB, etc). I cant watch any DVD in the Apple DVD Player as it said that did not find any valid connected DVD Player.

There's an way fix this?

Thanks in advance

Is anyone using the internal DVD as external?

If yes, do you have had this problem, or not?

No one replaced the DVD with an HDD and used the DVD externaly ?
