imac internet sharing wireless through airport card to windows laptop

Hi

I have been using my airport card in my iMac to share internet wirelessly with my iBook. However, I am unable to share the internet wirelessly with a friend's windows laptop. Her computer sees the network but does not ask for a password and fails to connect. Any insights as to why she cannot connect?

What encryption method did you use? WPA, WEP,...?

And what Windows does she have?

I had the same problem once, but through a router using WEP or WPA, and the Windows XP laptop couldn't connect, only the Macs. We got her a cable then.
