I just bought my first iMac, I have a full keyboard with number pad, it has a usb port on each end. I have the keyboard plugged into a USB Hub, cable not long enough to plug into the MAC it self. USB ports will not work. what can I do to fix this? Does it need to be plugged directly into the IMAC?

I think there was an extra extension cord when I got my Apple Keyboard. Do you have that?
If you do, try it. If not... no idea how to fix it :/

I don't think a hub off a hub will work. Especially not if the computer side one isn't directly powered. Just get a USB extension cable from monoprice. Or Amazon, just check the reviews.

Does the USB Hub have a power adapter? If not, that could be the issue.

Not sure but for my old iMac I bought a little extender USB cable as the supplied one was just a fraction too short to be comfortable in terms of keyboard position.
