Hey everyone,

So I have an iMac (still on Yosemite) and I just got a Samsung smart TV. Would like to setup my Mac as a media center, whilst minimizing the number of programs I use. More specifically:

I have a jailbroken Fire TV stick w/Kodi (just for streaming w/Genesis, etc). However, I also know Kodi is avail on OSX. Is there a way to download Kodi on my iMac, and use it as a DLNA server to view computer files from Fire TV stick?

I know the simple answer seems to be "buy an Apple TV". But with the Fire TV stick already in-hand, I'd prefer not to. Running out of HDMI inputs.

Thanks, and cheers.

I don't recall but if you install Kodi on your Mac

go to system/settings/services
