I just got an iMac. I removed the two 4gb sticks and installed two 8 gb sticks. I was not sure what slots they go in. Can someone tell the two slots I should use out of the four slots

You use whatever slots you like, either the top or bottom ones. Also know, that you can use the two 4 GB modules in conjunction with the two 8 GB modules, just use the same capacity modules in either the bottom or top slots.

Since you created another, similar titled and premised thread, I reply to it here.
Is it dual channel RAM in the imac? What slots should I put upgraded RAM in? I'm only using two sticks total 16 GB
There is dual channel on the iMac, thus you either use two 8 GB modules in the bottom or top slots, not one module in the bottom slot and one module in the top slot. Is that clearer now than the above reply?
