Hi, my 24" Alum iMac had just decided to take on bagpipe lesson with a Scottish Highlander!! It just started yesterday, out of the blue, the iMac started to emit a high pitch, beep noise, in the range of Eb5 and F5, it has a bagpipe like quality, reedy kinda sound. It only happens sporadically, I can't really pinpoint the source but it seems like it happens when the hard drive is under load.
And it seems like only when I am using the virtual machine. (Paralellels and Fusion) Have anyone encountered this? I hope it's not a prelude to a hard drive funeral.
