Hello,

After browsing the M4 mini board, it's an issue with fan noise according to several users.

As I would prefer a somewhat quiet model, so I am curious if any iMac M4 users can share their experience with the new model, either the 8 core or the 10 core.

Apparently on the M1 and M3 model it had one fan with the 8 core and two with the 10 core, it would be interesting with feedback as I am looking at the base model which I assume would be supplied with one fan.

With 15.1.1 there is a new feature there. Low Power Mode. With it turned off, running Topaz Video AI the fan is running high where you can hear it. With it turned ON, the fan goes low where I can't hear it. The drawback is lower speed. I lose about 1fps processing video when this is turned on. With Handbrake also slight slow down. So you have to choose, a slight hit in speed processing heavy stuff for quieter iMac or full speed with hearing the fan going full blast. For everyday normal use, I don't see any perceived hit on speed with Low Power Mode turned ON. OH I have iMac M3, 24tb ram, 2tb hd and 4 ports, basically the highest model available for iMac M3. This model has two fans.
