iMac & MacBookPro what happens in Shanghai?

Well a lot of people are wondering why their FedEx or TNT shipments seem to take ages to move status from Shanghai.

Some may, other may not know that actually a different company handles that part of the journey.

Kuehne+Nagel

I have found a tracking site that will let you track your status of order up to the switch over to FedEx or TNT from shanghai that may prove helpful to some...

Here you go

TRACK ME HERE...

Hope it proves of some use to all iMac & Macbookpro orders :D

I have no "Kuehne+Nagel tracking number" in my shipping notification email or on the Order Status page. :(

Hey, my computer left china a few days ago. Ive been following it with the apecode tracker. The last update i got it said flight booked, then flight departed. Its been 3 days and i havnt gotten any new info. How do i know what tracker to follow next?

Maybe stop acting like a 4 year old waiting for Santa Claus? :)

Can someone tell me where to find my Kuehne+Nagel number on the Apple status page or in my notification email? Or is it something only some of us get?

My iMac is in Shanghai through Fed Ex, twiddling its thumbs.

There is no Kuehne and Nagle ttracking. They are most likely simply acting as a forwarder in this case and moving product from Apple Shanghai to the terminal. This could particularly be the case with TNT. If a packaged is going via FedEx, apple should have a nightly pick up by FedEx at the warehouse.
TNT is an up and comming shipping company. They are large overseas, but do not have a large presence here in the states. That may be why KN is involved.
Also, scans can be missed so items don't seem to move. The other thing that no one is considering is that once the package arrives in the states, it MUST clear customs. Depending on the back log at customs and if the package has all of the proper documentation it could take a few days. For example, I had 96 rolls of tape held up in Wilmington OH (DHL's hub) for over a week because the package did not have the proper paper work.

Y'all just got to chill. There are not any conspiracies going on here, just the normal transportation and logistics problems associated with international shipping.

If the package is still in Shanghai after tomorrow, and hasn't cleared Chinese customs, you probably have to wait a week longer as its Chinese New Year, and everything shuts down for a week holiday.

That's really messed up shipping information. It may mean something to K&N but it's definitely illogical. I would say that the ETA into Switzerland should be 1 Feb. but it could also be the date when it is shipped out of Shanghai. It's hard to tell from the info given.

Tracking information over the weekend is notoriously unreliable. I would check it again on Monday.

There's nothing worse than waiting for a new Mac! Hang in there.

From the site linked:

"Enter your Kuehne+Nagel tracking number into this box and click the Track button. You can find your Kuehne+Nagel tracking number on the Apple Store status page, and in the shipping notification e-mail. The number should be 10 digits and start with '80' (80xxxxxxxx)"

Could someone please tell me where this tracking number is located on the Order Status page? I don't have a number anywhere starting with an 80, and neither in my shipping notification e-mail. I hope this doesn't mean I'm unable to find out what's going on in Shanghai.

If its not on the email, or in the "Order Status" page, give apple a call, and they will give you the correct number.
