Hey all,

I have a 27in Mid 2010 iMac that seems to run very hot. It has not turned off due to heat but the top of the iMac front and back are very hot. Almost too hot to touch. When i have been using the machine for 2 hours or so it seems to slow down. I thought i would check out a fan utility and i downloaded smcFan control. smc shows my CPU is running at 83c with only 1 youtube video running and this site open, the CPU fan RPM's are at 0 is this normal? It does not seem right to me but i thought i would ask the community.

iMac Specs
CPU - 2.93 Ghz Core i7
GPU - ATI Radeon HD 5750
RAM - 12gb
HD1 - 240 OWC SSD custom installed in 2011
HD2 - 1TB stock apple HD
ODD - Apple Super Drive
OS - Yosemite Beta
