imac mid 2010 i7 temperature problem

Hello all when i render with premiere cs5.5 the cpu reach very fast temperatures as 88 C and stay there the fans goes to 1211rpm is my imac cpu is going to burn?all other temperatures very normal.I run two times the apple extended hardware test and no problem found any thoughts? i dont know if this has anything to do with problem i have istat menus 3.21 and fan control not working.I am on lion 10.7.3 with 12gb factory ram.

Since that CPU, i7-870, can handle that temperature, and would shut down if it reaches its maximum temp, 88° C is okay. The i7-870 will shutdown at 100° C to prevent damage.

If you feel uncomfortable with such temp and want to hear some noise, you can try SMC FanControl, which allows you to spin all fans at full speed.

thanks for the immediate answers but i still think is a little high its 2 years old machine nad i have cleaned it from the little dust before 3 months ago when i put my ssd diamond.
