hey, so i plan to put LED lights in my imac 20" alu one way or another.

now before anyone starts, i have the tools, skills, and experience nessicary to open up these babies, thats the easy bit.

my imac has a dead superdrive, so i figure i can rip that out and put a strip of light down the slot to give it a nice glow. other key locations include the vent at the top-back, vents on the bottom, and the apple logo at the front.

my biggest concern will be power. dont wanna short anythign on the logic board so im not even gonna attempt pulling power from say the PATA cord that was once connected to the superdrive.

this is where you guys come in. ive looked around online but all i find is PCI and internal power LED solutions for PCs. is there any external USB power options available? i can just pull the cord in thru a vent at the bottom from the outside if need be.or possibly a battery idea i can blutack to the backside of the imac?

also any other awesome ideas youd like to see, happy for suggestions! :D
